The West Bengal Radio Club in India is providing logical help during a religious festival on Sagar Island, mainly for lost children, as part of their emergency communications training.
On the continental shelf of Bay of Bengal the island is a famous place for Hindu pilgrims attracting thousands each January for the Makar Sankranti festival.
West Bengal Radio Club is using the callsign 8T5GSM January 9–16 from IOTA AS-153, and welcomes DX contacts. QSL via VU2NRO.
