The National Field Day & Emergency Preparedness event in India occurs on June the 7th and 8th and is an excellent opportunity to test out field stations.
It includes a contest exchange between stations on the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 metre bands using CW, SSB and Digital modes. Organisers want low power or less than 100 watts to be used.
What a great idea from the Amateur Radio Society of India for radio amateurs to head outdoors, setup stations, make contacts, test their emergency response skills, learn about antennas and give newcomers a real experience.
